Rise Phoenix, Rise Phoenix, whispers the static night air, hushed gently in my right ear.
Whilst sat quietly burdened with fear as my eyes release a flow of steadily streaming tears.
Opinion clashes, senior management trashes my reputation, released from work like an amputation of something they no longer wanted, sent out in the cold burnt and shunted.
Gossip and whispers carries the news, have you heard that so and so was removed, see we knew it this now only proves, if we speak up we will also loose.
An ocean of tears, I can swim for days, the sun no longer shines it’s ambient rays, deep within the ashes begin, had me feeling like I created a massive sin.
Rise Phoenix, Rise Phoenix, Please tread with care and know in your heart, as ancestors, we will always be there, we’ve always been here, and the only difference is now you can hear.
Just as the stars illuminate the night, 2019 was certainly a fright, lost my sight, 2019 gave up the fight.
Depression ridden, came on all of a sudden, what is this life and who am I kidding, my world as I knew was crashing and ending.
Usually a pillar of strength, the will was gone and went, bank accounts overspent, everything is closed, no place to vent, emotional health took a detrimental dent.
Into a plight, buried so dark, the ashes embarked deep within, deep within like crumbled rubble and nothing but pain and trouble followed.
Everywhere, was in despair, as every step I took, was a step closer to an abyss of lost hope, disappointment, restriction and confinement.
Rise Phoenix, Rise Phoenix, do not despair, you are almost there, whilst the world has halted, stop procrastinating you can make it, as you are rare.
It was like where do I start, where do I begin, the toxic trenches were deep and filled to the brim.
2020 already on my knees, 2020 the world caught up to match my pleas, in what seemed the world’s ravenous dis-ease, this fateful covid catastrophe.
Virus spread over the continents with dread, masked faces and energy resonating with solid lead, my heart goes out to everyone that was taken, leaving their families worn and shaken.
The world joined me in feeling forsaken, all when 2020 came in.
Covid cases, track and traces, no one now sees faces, stay inside best hide, you can’t see your family on this rollercoaster ride.
Major issues, there’s no tissue, follow guidelines or there’s a hefty fine, maybe it’s time we thought outside the lines, times are tested and tried and tested, humanity has fallen and in greed were invested.
Looking back from the start, there wasn’t much to tell apart, you had to be cruel to kind, overworked, no time to unwind and it was a crime to care and share, pre-covid life hasn’t ever been fair.
Our elderly impacted within a system neglected, they were the ones most affected, kept under wraps and undetected, and now we can never correct this.
A generational generation of wealth was our elderly, who were taken suspiciously stealth, I question where was the help, now our light houses are gone and the waves are so strong, this is the start to a downfall song.
How could we ever get it so wrong?
Rise Phoenix, Rise Phoenix put your feelings deep inside although we sympathise, you must continue to move forward, upwards, you must up rise.
Distance in physical, closer in visual, technology has set us apart, something that was evident from the start, but yet we ignore and look outwards for internal doors.
Chicanery, Chicanery, Illusions aloof! Conspiracy theories! Could there be some truth? We must stick together, that’s certainly one truth, in unity we must and we don’t need more proof.
Government tactics, a rise in statistics, festering upheaval, and black lives matter is suddenly relevant; all lives matter wants to be more prevalent.
Domestic violence on rise and those who sit in silence can easily disguise and hide the bruises, in a system loosing contact, to make an impact on those who most need it.
Rise Phoenix, Rise Phoenix you can’t look outside, faith is a belief and you must keep that alive, help people strive even if all you see is decline, I promise you it will be fine, something you will see in time.
Education systems collapsing, conflicting and condescending information, energy sapping, no more children laughing, Guidelines say stay at home, go to school, Learn to navigate online tools. All in a system a vicious trap.
Exam doors closed, GCSE results are instead foretold, whilst we all watch these unpredictable events unfold, watching the news, knowing truth isn’t being told, as the world grows colder, a year has gone past and our children are just older.
In our children, through their eyes, if we look deeper we will see and hear their cries; maybe this was all just a galactic sign for us to observe how we spend our time. Spend quality time with those we love; now the world has now given us this massive big nudge to cherish the moment, to saviour the moment, to look and see what’s really important.
Rise Phoenix, Rise Phoenix, this is the hidden proof that the future is in the hands of the youth, we must nurture, if we are as a civilisation to exist much further.
Empty traffic, no cars quiet roads you can go far. Congested minds create enemy lines into existence. If you’re battling yourself, how can you be of any assistance?
Never ending Supermarket queues, all for there to be no food, you didn’t hear much of this on the news. Reporters report, without the facts, most of the reports had no tact. Trials are underway, Yay we’re saved, make sure you take the Covid vaccine today.
So much information, not taking into consideration those alone, isolated without a soul, no access to even a phone. Forgive me, forgive my tone, I don’t mean to speak out of turn but this is something that really burns, it burns my heart, my soul and my eyes, I am so tired of all the misconception and lies.
Rise Phoenix, Rise Phoenix, we will show you not everything is broke and to rise upwards you must continue to rise in hope.
Rise Phoenix, Rise Phoenix, We are present, we are now, we are always in the know, to help your spirituality grow, you are the seed and you have been sown.
Rays of sun heal the damage that was done and life feels like life it’s just begun; from the dark we were burnt as we emerge, there was something to be learnt, now it turned 2021, nearing sanity returns, but had to humbly earned, maybe to finally slowdown was what we all secretly yearned .
Trees and plants grow fine, unaffected by Covid times, birds tweet you can hear the chimes, life’s a vibrational rhyme when you sit to take time to breath in, really take a moment to feel it.
Be presently present and release all your tensions, keep negative thoughts at bay, literally let your worries fall away, life will feel lighter as the days grow brighter; believe in yourself and know that you are a fighter.
Choose to be fighter for love, a fighter for life, helping people through their worries and strife. Always advocating for what is right, being a protector and being a light, helping those navigate to gain sight of the bigger picture.
Rise Phoenix Rise Phoenix; smoulder in the ashes below, reap the seeds that have been sown, show the world how much you have grown.
It was almost easy to fall off, use this as an opportunity to stall more, not to face the darkness and walk small.
Take everything personal, mind spinning like a turntable, mind going crazy but in the distance all I can hear is this saving fable, “This too shall pass” keep focused on the task in hand it’s all in the grandmaster’s plan.
Slow by slow, took each day as it comes and go’s, no expectations, no pressure to grow, this is what broke the mould that was holding me there, as I stare at myself in the mirror, I recognise the start of a new era.
I can finally be me, no false perceptions, I am finally free, my mind can create with ease what I hope for my future, I can now finally see.
I was pushed off the 9-5 treadmill, for no real reason but to kill who I was before, so I could release what no longer served my purpose and open expanded doors, now I see it more than ever before, work was just a place that wasn’t really great and leaving there wasn’t a dreaded fate.
Generalise not personalise has been my lesson, all the new people I have met, I now choose to count my blessings instead of stressing because life is all a massive testing.
Rise Phoenix, Rise Phoenix, you have caught us by surprise, we can see the fighting spirit burning bright in your eyes, you have finally cut ties with an out-dated system, finally we feel you are listening.
Yes Ancestors, I am listening and now I know what I have been missing, all the time wasted on stressing, ignoring my blessings, feeling sorry for myself, all I needed was a little help.
No time is ever wasted, when you are persisting to be your greatest, it takes time to unlearn all the things that was installed and when you’re finally able to stand tall, this is the greatest feeling ever born.
Rise phoenix, Rise Phoenix, from the ashes you are born, we see you’re strength and you are no longer torn, no longer down and worn, this is all we could have hoped for.
Rise Phoenix Rise Phoenix as we ignite you ready for flight, let your wings burn eternity bright, may you forever have the sight and be guided by the internal compass and everything that is right.
Rise Phoenix, Rise Phoenix, we will walk with you, just as certain as the ocean is blue and even if the tide grows high, you will know how to rise to the occasion, let your wings grow and never ever become complacent.
This journey has been amazing, even thou things are still hazy, the ups and down, the sadness and frowns, it shows me that even when I am down I am surrounded with abundance, without my family I couldn’t have done this.
As we look back in time, we will all remember how much we were confined, we couldn’t eat out, so at home is where we dined and even thou we pined for what we lost in the Covid war, we can actually make this better than it has ever been before.
A place where people are kind, no one gets left behind, having resilience that everything will work out fine.
This is why I had to be brave and with my ancestors I am no longer a slave.
I hope that you will rise with me today.
Rise Pheonix.
This poem was written whilst going through the greatest adversary I have ever faced, I had built my foundation on what I thought was expected of me and even though I knew I wasn’t happy, I stayed until the decision was no longer mine.
This affected my understanding of who I knew myself to be. I had to go through many emotions to come out of the other side.
I wrote this poem to give hope to everyone who has been affected by Covid19 and events that have shaken them before us as a collective had a common focus of discomfort with the Pandemic.
I particularly want to inspire those who are caring for elderly family members and give hope to them to preserve through whatever challenges they are faced with.
I have seen my elderly father survive through Covid and make it to the other side and he inspired me to keep going.
Rise Phoenix, Rise Phoenix,
